Mallard Orchard Hunt Club, LLC occupies 636 acres of mixed hardwoods, pine and open spaces. The property is teeming with wildlife including deer, dove, quail, duck, raccoon, beaver, bobcat, coyote, turkey and squirrel.
Mallard Orchard features a 28 acre impoundment which is a mix of flooded planted areas and hardwood trees that provide an abundance of food sources for many species of waterfowl. Over the last 16 years, Mallard Orchard has participated in the Mallard release program and to date have released over 11,000 mallard ducks. However, mallards are not the only waterfowl our hunters have enjoyed harvesting. Some other species we have recorded include Wood Duck, Ring Neck, Green and Blue Wing Teal, Gadwall, Widgeon, Pintail and Canadian Geese. In 2012, we will release 1500 mallards again.
